AUBURN— Harold August Johnson, born 08/08/29 in Lynn, died Thursday January 3, with dignity in his home in Auburn, after an illness.

He is survived by his wife Marilyn, daughters; Elizabeth Johnson-Garnish and Carol Boley, son Robert Johnson, and Carol's four children. After serving in the U.S. Army, Harold attended MIT & the GE Apprentice Course and had a 39 year career at the General Electric Riverworks Facility in Lynn, where he excelled in administrative positions.

Harold and Marilyn--his loving and devoted wife of fifty years--lived most of their married lives in Danvers, where they raised three children. During retirement they relocated to Auburn. Harold and Marilyn enjoyed two decades of retirement before his illness. Some of Harold's interests included: sports, politics, finance, travel, gardening, and electronics, and computers. Harold was a devoted husband and father who set a strong and consistent example for his children.

A memorial service will be held 10:00 AM on January 12, 2008 at St. Thomas Episcopal Church in Auburn. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to: VNA-Care Network & Hospice, 120 Thomas St., Worcester MA 01608.
